Enjoying the Best Time of the Year

Actually, there are two really great times of the year in Arizona, and we are currently in the midst of one of them.

Now that Ryan is a little older, we're able to do a lot more. Lately we have been going to the park pretty much every day. (That's one of the things I love about where we live--we have a great park directly behind our house). Ryan loves swinging on the swing where he just laughs and laughs. He also likes sitting on Mom's lap while swinging on the big kid swing.

Today we headed to the outdoor playground at the mall, which he also really enjoyed. I can't wait until he's a little more mobile--I think our outings are going to get more and more fun from here on out...

My friend Ana had her son three months before Ryan, and we predicted long ago that they were going to be best friends. This weekend she and her husband John and Baby Ben came for the weekend and it looks like our prediction was correct! The six of us had a great weekend hanging out and relaxing, and the boys had a ball together. Thanks, Ana, John and Ben for a great weekend and some fun memories!

My favorite Christmas gift this year was the sewing machine that Bryan got for me. As much as I've never thought myself to be crafty, I have of late developed a desire to be more so. So this is my first real sewing project--a rag quilt for Ryan. We are still obsessed with all things polar bear and I found this adorable fabric and couldn't resist.
